BLOG TOUR: THE THIEF, THE DAMSEL, AND THE DRAGON| SETTING

Today’s the second day of the blog tour! I received the proof copy of the novella yesterday and am working on finishing some tweaks. 🙂

Let’s talk about the setting and genre for The Thief, The Damsel, And The Dragon. This novella takes place in a small town in North Carolina during the summer. It isn’t the first time NC has been the setting for one of my books — JUMP takes place in NC, as well. Can y’all tell I really love North Carolina? 😉

My grandparents live pretty close to the tourist attractions (Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Franklin, etc) so when we visit them, we often go to the cities. But I adore the mountains, backroads that twist through the dense trees, and, just, gah! Writing TT,TD,TD definitely made me want to go visit again!

Now, let’s talk genre! TT,TD,TD is a Christian, contemporary romance. The romance is sweet and clean. Contemporary isn’t a new genre for me (both Seek and JUMP are contemporaries), but the difference with this novella is it’s not action/adventure or paranormal — which is a first for me! I intended from the start for this novella to challenge me, and it sure did, because I didn’t write any car chases or have paranormal activity. It was still plenty of fun, though I can’t wait to get back to some action writing. 😛

My favorite Summer activity is probably reading, with swimming being a close second. Only problem is, I can’t read and swim at the same time! 😀

Riding horses and gardening are so fun!! I’ve never been jet skiing before, though. =D
eBooks are basically a Kindle copy on Amazon. 🙂
