WHERE GIANTS FALL ANTHOLOGY SUBMISSIONS
WHERE GIANTS FALL is an upcoming fantasy anthology organized and edited by bestselling author Angela R. Watts and author Michaela Bush.
Please read the submission guidelines carefully before submitting your short story. Please send your submission to firstname.lastname@example.org and your email subject line should be as follows: Submission – Story Title – Your Name.
The theme of this fantasy anthology is light in the darkness. Your story should contain the element of hope shining through the dark, whether this is subtle or a leading theme throughout the story’s fabric. The editors are seeking bold stories with a lot of heart and stories that do not shy away from gritty themes or dark topics. If you enjoy weaving stories with hope throughout insanity, you’ve found the right submission opportunity.
Your submission should fall within the fantasy genre and contain fantasy fiction elements, though this is a broad genre, so some subgenres are acceptable (dark fantasy, low fantasy, etc) but other subgenres will not be accepted for this volume (urban fantasy, paranormal fantasy, etc). We are not accepting fairy tale retellings.
Please send your submission as a Microsoft Word Document via email. Be sure to include the following information in your query: your name, the story title, the story word count, a pitch that describes the story in three sentences or less, your author bio, and your contact information. Your story should be submitted as a Word document with Times New Roman 12 pt font, double spaced, with page numbers.
The word count guideline is 2,000 – 8,000 words.
No multiple submissions. Simultaneous submissions are allowed but please notify the editors immediately if your story is accepted elsewhere. Do not submit a short story that is already available elsewhere (KDP, a website, etc) or that is under contract. Royalties will be split among the accepted authors.
All entries must be received via email before September 30th by 11:59 PM Central time. The editors reserve the right to deny submissions at their own discretion without explanation.
