FAITH OVER FEAR

For God hath
not given us the
spirit of fear;
but of power,
and of love,
and of a
sound
mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

The world has seemingly lost all faith, power, and, simply put, its mind. COVID19 has been shaped into a giant beast… and whether it is as bad as it is being portrayed or not, whether the economy will burn or not… where is our faith?

You cannot expect a “saved attitude” from an unsaved person. But as Christians, are we shining God’s light? Are we examples of the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind? Are we helping others? Are we praying with others, for others, over others? No doubt, the world seems to have gone into some dystopian overdrive this month and the end of this season is unknown. Some of us aren’t scared, some of us are. Some of us are taking this seriously, some of us aren’t.

Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

We might not know what we want to know. We might not know when the quarantine will end, or when our jobs come back, or what say you… but God does. He knows every single detail going on. He knows how this all ends. So… let’s live in the moment. I’m not just talking about trying to enjoy the at-home time with our families. I’m challenging Christians to take this time for prayer. This is a chance for us to do God’s dirty work–pray the hard prayers, live in faith and not fear, and lead by example.

Matthew 6:34 – Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.

America needs a revival and it might not look like any past revival. Stop waiting. Stop looking at yourself as a “lesser” Christian for the job. Each of us have a place in God’s kingdom here on earth. Don’t waste your time and start shining God’s light. This time during the COVID19 fiasco… what better time to surrender ourselves to God’s total love and power? God’s bigger than our fears. So start waging war, folks. Satan would rather laugh at us crying than have to hear us on our knees praying.

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer. Romans 12:12

We don’t have to sit back, cower, and hide. So don’t. Our prayers and uniting with our family and people online can do so much. Whether you can go out and help the elderly or such, there’s always a way to do God’s will.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

God bless you each. Please, feel free to message me if you need prayers.
