12 Days Of Christmas: Christmas Movies

christmas

Two days until CHRISTMAS! Ahh! I’m freaking out. We’re all so excited! Mamaw and Papaw are here safely, so today we’ll be going shopping. 😉 We have cookies to bake when we get home, yum!

I’ve been looking forward to doing this post… It’s my favorite Christmas movies! 😀 I love Christmas movies… These are the family favorites that I adore. ♥

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

Our family’s all time tradition is to watch this movie multiple movies before Christmas. It is our ALL TIME FAVORITE Christmas movie- absolutely beloved! =D We all love it, and we quote it all year… ♥

Elf

Elf is probably the second favorite Christmas movie for this family… It is sooo good. It’s got humor and a great Christmas spirit! We love watching this one and yelling ‘You’re not Santa’ around the house…

The Santa Clause

We all love the first, second, and third movies! 😀 Tim Allen is so awesome (and the movie Christmas With The Kranks got a real kick out of again, this year, too!) and these movies are so funny and cute. 🙂

A Christmas Carol

I actually read the book by Charles Dickens this year! I liked how the movie retold the story. It is a great story and movie; a classic.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas

The classic. 😉 We like the old cartoon too, but this one is what we mostly watch! I love this movie. Ryan loved it when he was younger- and we’ve watched it ever since.

The Legend of Frosty The Snowman

We just found this movie this year! We put it on for Reyna and found we were all watching it… It is a very cool (pun intended…) movie, and I like it lots. The story and way it all ends is sweet and refreshing, an awesome Christmas story.

There are soo many Christmas movies, but these are the most amazing in this house! ;D

Yay! I had so much fun doing this- I showed my family and they liked it. =)

Last night, we all sat and listened to Christmas music and sang a little. We listened to Michael W. Smith and some other songs…  We finished the night with ‘That’s Christmas To Me’ by Pentatonix. It felt great to be surrounded by the ones I love, listening to songs showing the real meaning behind it all.

Everyone listening to music: Rey getting dizzy from dancing, Kody drawing in a spiral book, and Laney checking everyone out…

Peace be with you! Merry Christmas.

Wow, we love ALL of those movies here! You like ‘Christmas Vacation,’ too, huh? That’s awesome! Our family (even our extended family) quotes it constantly throughout Christmas. 🙂 I feel a little ashamed about talking about watching it with most of my friends, though, I’m afraid, because of the language … and then there’s one scene that’s kinda bad …

Ohh yes. It is amazing! I wouldn’t feel bad, haha. 😉

        Yeah, I feel like I shouldn’t feel bad … but I don’t know. I don’t want to offend anyone … although perhaps I’m being overly cautious. 😉
Hmm … The Christmas Story and quite a few of the animated classics … like How the Grinch Stole Christmas, A Charlie Brown Christmas (that one’s fantastic!), Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman … they’re all great. There’s also a Bugs Bunny Christmas thing and a bunch of Mickey Mouse/Merry Melodies shorts we like to watch … they’re really great. 🙂 Oh, and there’s a movie we watch every year – “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” It’s sweet. And “The Bishop’s Wife” and … I could go on forever. 😛
Christmas is going great here! I finished my shopping a couple days back, so now I’m just waiting for Christmas! 😀

I can’t believe I’ve been alive so long and haven’t seen Elf yet. Oh well, maybe next Christmas. xD I really enjoy the Muppets Christmas Carol — it’s very well done.

I’ve never watched that! My Dad likes the Muppets though.

Nope, can’t say that I’ve seen any of those. They just aren’t my type. 🙂 But it’s fun to read what others like.
