The Light Shall Arise

November 8th, 2016, is the presidential election.  We have two people right now up the choice to be president of our country; Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. It is an important time; more important than we think.

This is all more than just Hillary vs. Trump. This is spiritual. The battle is far, far bigger than we can see with our naked eye. But we can see the corruption and evil that our government has become.

post

My family and I support Donald Trump. Trump is an honest, upstanding man, and he loves his family, and he cares about our country. I really love Trump. I pray for him, and I believe he can do well for this country. He doesn’t back down, he wants protection and morals back in our country, and he gives jobs to American citizens. If God can use a man like Cyrus, I’m sure He can use Trump. Trump is not god- but he doesn’t act like it. Why should Christians support Hillary, when she seriously acts like she is god?

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their’s also was.

10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.

-2 Timothy 3:1-3

The above Scripture is the Bible telling of the end days. Sound familiar? Scarily so.

Things have already unfolded in this world that the Bible prophesied- recently, things keep unfolding that God told us would… It is no surprise to those who watch, and it is no surprise to God- He knows what will happen. He is in control.

They say that what is right is wrong and what is wrong is right; that black is white and white is black; bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter. -Isaiah 5:20

That is EXACTLY what the world is today. Gay marriage, abortion, gender identities, protecting America vs. illegal immigrants- everything has come to this. The Bible is unfolding day by day. What is right is wrong in America, and what is wrong is right…

The past few days, approaching the election so fast (I still remember the start of this year, when I was first diving into watching the debates and enjoying it all), I’ve been surrounded by voices. All around me, are people who support Hillary or Trump- or support no one.

1 John 4:1 – Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

And for the people who don’t think voting will do any good, or don’t know who to vote for…

Yahweh will not forsake His children. But I see us forsaking Him. He has given us the power of praying, and the power to cast out demons- He gave us FREEDOM. A will. And a choice. Why have we given all of this up? If Hillary is elected, all the gifts God gave us- poof. Gone. And we made that choice. If you don’t vote, you’re not helping make a difference to glorify Yahweh. God gave us the  right to choose. He gives us that power. To not vote is to forsake Him- it is to cry ‘Oh, God, save us!’ and yet, not doing the part He gave us to in order to keep things well.

In that view, maybe we’re thinking “If it is spiritual, and bigger than us, and God knows how it will end- why bother? Why vote? Why take a stand? What does it matter?” It does matters. Don’t lie down and let fear and hopelessness get you.

Yahweh knows the battle. He wins. That’s it. He will win. But do we just want to sit and not do our part that He has given us? I pray not. I pray He gives us His sword and His shield and we can do good battle for His glory. Are you ready?    Christians need to vote. It is our duty to America and to the Lord.

He has put us each on this earth at the right time. We cannot dare say we do not have a voice. We all have a voice. What will you say?

God tells us we can make a different. All in the Bible. Incredibly. And He wants us to stand for truth, and what is pure. We have a voice. We have God- who shall we fear?

Psalms 118:6 – The LORD [is] on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

I’ve been praying for my country because I love it and want what God wants- but it hurts to see this world as it is. It makes me scared. Thinking about the future: Will I, and my children, and my children’s children- have a shot in life? Will the world crash and burn so bad that there is nothing left? If Hillary gets elected, how do we expect God to hold His judgement if we are killing our unborn mercilessly? If we turn so far from Him, why should we dare to expect Him to bless us or help us as a nation?

Nothing will catch God by surprise, even if we fall to our knees with broken hearts and rage as to what happens before our eyes, things we could not foretell. This will not stop our Lord. He doesn’t have to step back and re-punt. He is Almighty and All Powerful- He tells us to trust Him and then, we can move mountains. That puts peace in my soul again- when I remember that no matter what, I can still get out of the boat and walk on the water with Him. When fear creeps in and tells me things will be burning and I have no chance at life- the Lord is my Father. He is with me. And my family. And all who follow Him. When I fear for my country, I remember that God knows all and He loves me.

Do not fear. We cannot fear. God is with us- He is our fortress, and our Shield. The Darkness is well at hand- seeking to corrupt and end and destroy everything it touches. But we must stand. Followers of Yahweh Elohim- have courage. Be steadfast, because the battle is raging and we must do our part. We must pray. I know it’s scary and maybe we get confused; but Yeshua is with us.

When we trust Yahweh- then Satan can’t touch us. And Satan has really touched this country- it’s heartbreaking and evil, but it is true. We need God back in America, or we’ll be lost. And that very idea is so disheartening to me, it makes me sad and scared- but again, I remember Who is in Control and who has me. The Alpha and Omega. He created this world, He knows what is to come, and He is there to help us through.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. -Romans 8:38-9

Yahweh has put all of this and more on my soul and spirit heavily. My family and I prayed- and of course I felt better. And I keep praying because the battle inside me a big one, but I keep trusting God.When I prayed,  I saw that there wasn’t a need to stress and worry- God wasn’t putting this all on my spirit to be fearful.

2 Timothy 1:7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Be not afraid, only believe.- Mark 5:36

I knew to fear is to not trust God, and so I gave it to Him. I pray we each reach that point, and can have Him guide our hearts. We’ve all closed ourselves off from Him… But this is America’s chance. Our choice. To turn back to God or to let ourselves keep walking straight into evil.

This presidential election has been unlike any we’ve ever seen. I’ve been here from the beginning- watching the debates at night with my Dad (I looked forward to them), and I’ve been online talking about it all a lot. But this is it. I’m torn to where I think this world will go- long term or short term. I trust God and I pray- if we turn back to Him, if we turn away. No matter what, Yahweh still stands. No one can change that.

I stand fast in my beliefs. I’m pretty open about them.  But this post is more than politics to me. This is me on my knees, crying to Abba, praying and praying and praying… And sharing it with you. I knew I was crumbling, as the time grew near, and I didn’t want to fail just as the time grew ripe. So I called upon Him and He gave me strength. This is life.

The battle rages in realms we cannot see. But we can see this realm. And God is here with us. I pray for my nation, and its people, and for my family and I. We all need to be praying and doing what God calls us to do. We can’t give up faith or hope. No matter how close to the edge we feel we’ve fallen.

Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain.

No matter who wins this election, Yahweh is King. His Word still reigns. And every knee will bow.

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. – Isaiah 60:1-2

I’m not here to start fights. I have gotten into enough of them, even with my own relatives. That isn’t where my heart is. But if someone doesn’t know who to vote for, and has an open heart, and would like to know more as to why I believe why I believe/support who I support, I’m willing to answer questions to the best of my ability, God willing. I am not here to receive and give spiteful comments. In these days, we must band together in God’s name.

This is my voice. Where’s yours?

YHVH bless.

  1. Thank you for sharing from your heart, Angela. This was a great post. 🙂 I agree – it’s our duty to do our part as Americans (and Christians, I believe) to vote. To do our part in choosing a leader for our country.

Thanks again. I’m forwarding this to my parents 🙂
