Riding Horses In Oktober

It has been quite pleasant here at Step By Step Sanctuary. 🙂 The weather is nice (I can’t wait till I can wear a sweater frequently though, lol…), and the horses are all  enjoying it not being so hot.

So, we have been riding! I rode Cosmo, Kody rode Lucy, and Roger has been riding Sugar Baby each time. 🙂 She’s been doing wonderful. ♥ Last time, all three of us went, and we went everywhere. ;D It was lots of fun, they all did well. We passed the neighbors and the first set of little dogs, Sugar Baby noticed, but wasn’t scared of. But the next house we were going and the dogs came out of nowhere from behind the house. Sugar Baby only spooked a little, and they didn’t freak out for long. I was grateful Cosmo didn’t lose it either- but he did wanna go home. ;D They’re doing all so great.

We’ve also been working with the babies. 🙂 Migi, Ziibi, and Taloowa. Working with leading, ropes, voices, and all that… 🙂 Keep up with the videos and stuff on our Facebook page (because I can’t do videos on WordPress, ha.)!

Migi is a full blooded Cherokee pony- so she is very stubborn. 😉 But she is doing very well with Tory and they’re fun to watch!

Ziibi is an Ojibwe stallion- he’s a boy so of course he’s stubborn, too. ♥ But he and Kody are working together and growing and learning.

Taloowa is a Choctaw/Chickasaw girl, but once we got her convinced the halter wouldn’t eat her and we prayed over her- I can put the rope on her head and get nothing. Wave it around, she’s cool. ♥

I am so glad and thankful and proud to see these babies come this far! Praise Yahweh, He definitely has His blessings and Hand over us and our horses… ♥

 

The Oktober Festival is this weekend! So, I may do pictures on the weekend (honestly, IF I get ANY at all, lol…), but I kind of plan to do another post for the weekend. 😉 Or whatever. We’ll see.

The Oktober Festival (yes, it’s spelled like that- at least that’s what the signs say… lol… It’s German.) is basically a big festival every year with yard sales, stands, food, and a bunch of people on foot (the roads are blocked, if you can find a parking spot you better praise hallelujah… haha!) and a LOT of fun! 😀 Every year, it’s a big fun thing.

We’re only going to do a stand (first time in forever) one day. Whatever doesn’t get bought we’re going to dump.

It is a super fun time! I’m praying we all feel well and can enjoy ourselves. ♥♥ I’m looking forward to funnel cakes and snow cones, haha. 😉 And buying cheap books.

 

School has been going very well! I also did a report on amphibians and got an A+ and I was like ‘Oh good! I’m glad I’m prospering from my fear’ I HATE amphibians. xD Ick. Reptiles I’m cool with, but most amphibians, NO. I can barely do salamanders- as in, I have two salamander (or whatever they are…) friends. Fred (Freddy), who lives outside and I see him occasionally. He’s kinda small. And I have Gerry (with an E. And 2 Rs. This is very important.). Gerry actually found himself at home: and first met us due to he crawled in through our window AC unit- and he’s kinda bigger, with a long tail. We literally lost Gerry that day because he made exit in a crack in the wall/tile. So. But I found him later in the bathroom. And then I was going outside a day later and he ran out from under my feet. So I’m glad Gerry made it OK. Haha.

I also started editing Seek!

*cough* I couldn’t seem to make it blurry, so… Just don’t read it, OK? Like I said… I’m editing it. ;D I’m super excited to edit this novel. There’s still so much journey left. So much to add. So much to learn… It isn’t over yet. Yahweh is still with me.

I’m also thinking about maybe doing pages about my books and putting them up? Like about pages for each book… 🙂 I knew it was a thing for a while, but with so many books hehe, I thought it would be nice to have that as a page for y’all… 😀 What do you think? Would you like that? I think it would make keeping up with them all easier… 😉

This month is a big month. We have two birthdays: Tory’s (19th) and mine. Mine is on the 30th. I’m very much freaking out. Very much. But we’ll get to that. For my birthday, for a celebration, I am also thinking on doing a ‘vlog’. It’s an idea… Not sure if our Internet can handle it but if I really want to do it, town has wifi, right? 😉 So yeah; birthday coming up and birthday plans have to made. ♥

We’re praying for Florida- we have family there and we pray for everyone down there. The hurricane Matthew is very bad. But blow your trumpet- Yahweh is our fortress and salvation.
