of joy

Pure joy

Not something

you force

or fake

It is

felt

inside..

And you

feel happy

and

laugh

and smile

and your

eyes

shine

and you want to show

your

overwhelming

feeling

Because your heart

it feels

light and bursting

Oh, you don’t always

feel this way

How sweet

this feeling

This melody of the heart

You’ve been strong

You’ve fought

You’ve cried

And now

you are

okay

and you

feel

joy

How sweet

this melody

of the

heart.

Perhaps she’ll get so light

she’ll float

to the

sky and will laugh there

and they will join

her, too

For the war

is over

And they melody of

their song

long waiting,

aching,

stitched hearts

grow loud

and laughter fills the air

in

melody

and joy

You can see it

in their

twinkling eyes

They smile and laugh

Life has been

hard

but Joy has found them

The stars

come out

to sparkle

with them

and to

shine

along.
