Purposeful Pages, September Edition

Hello y’all! So, I’m doing the monthly Purposeful Pages again! ♥ These questions are all so neat and great..  Thank you hostesses Amanda Beguerie and Hannah Rodriguez, they’re fantastic!

I’m a bit behind ‘schedule’ (Ha. I used the word ‘schedule’.) but all is well. 😉 I enjoyed this post, so let’s go!

Description:

Purposeful pages is a monthly link-up designed to unite bloggers on answering questions about life, blogging, the Bible, writing, and books.

Question One: How have you been growing spiritually this month? What has God been teaching you?

Yahweh has shown me a lot. Very much… and I don’t know where to begin. For me, there is the journey(s) my family and I have been on and are still traveling with Yahweh…

And then there’s a journey Yeshua brought me to this month. He showed me I couldn’t wait, and though my flesh was weak, He opened my eyes. Slowly, little by little, I’m learning. I’m remembering. I don’t know how this journey will go. I’ll try not to look too far. Because right now, I’m on the water. For me, if I had stayed on that boat I would have drowned and been a goner. But I’m on the water. I know now. But there’s still so much more to learn and see. But Yahweh is with me and if I keep my eyes on Him, He’ll heal me and teach me.

Lately in my life, I’ve been growing spiritually- not hugely, because I know there is always more to learn. I’m young. But Yeshua teaches me and shows me.

The Journey lately has been a lot. Of getting out of the boat and walking on water. Of not being fearful. Of praying and trusting the Lord. But Yeshua comes quickly. Watch. Watch…

Question Two:  When you’re under stress, what actions do you take that help calm you and keep you sane?

‘Sane’. Ha. I’m never sane. ;D Just kidding.

Well, it sorta depends on what kind of stress… But praying is what I try to do, and I try to do it first, sometimes I have a bad habit of drawing back and only praying when I have my thoughts together. But anymore- I go to God first most of the time. It helps me get my thoughts and HIS thoughts… Or what He reminds me, and what He tells me… So it helps me not freak out as much, when I pray. The ‘problem’ may be there still, but I don’t feel so down.

Sometimes I’ll go see one of our herds and just be quiet, or I’ll go out to the horses and sit and pray… That un-stresses me.

Question Three: Who are some people that inspire you, and in what ways do they do that?

My Mama and my Dad. Their entire lives, and how they met Yahweh and love each other and what they do for others… It’s pretty amazing, and inspiring. 🙂 I’m grateful to the Lord that I have them as my role models. They’re awesome people, and I’m so happy and thankful to have them as my parents. I love them. ♥

Question Four: Have you learned any tricks this past month that have helped you in your blogging journey?

Not really…

Question Five: What is it about a book that makes you keep on reading? If you’re a writer, how can you  incorporate that into your own books?

Well, I kind of found myself not really wanting to read any books that weren’t ‘Christian’- not in the term it’s all ‘happy go lucky, simple minded preaching’, but where the story and characters are real…. But Yahweh is the Father and Savior. 🙂 I love all kinds of books, but anymore, I don’t want to see any ‘humans can do stuff on their own’… I just want a book that has the Truth in it, and the Light…

As a writer and Yahweh’s servant, I pray that I can write out what He wishes of me. That I glorify Him. That whatever He tells me to write, I write.

Question Six: What’s a book cover (or album, movie, etc.) that describes your life right now, and why?

Life for me and my family right now is such a journey- it always is, but the journey right now is kind of ‘messy’. The Dark is trying to make us stumble and be blind. But Yahweh is the brightest Light and we see Him. So we’re trying to obey and see and learn… And He is showing us.

But it just goes back to the story about how Yeshua walked on water. His disciple walked on water too, because his eyes were on Yeshua. When he looked at the storm, he sunk. That’s how life is. We’re keeping our eyes on the Light, no matter how much the storm tries to sink us.

Question Seven: Do you have a song in mind that you’d consider your current theme song? (Or a book, movie, TV show, etc.)

CAN I HAVE MORE THAN ONE?! xD Hmm… Well, After The Rain by Marcus Warner is amazing, I just found it, and… Yes.

Also, probably Dead Come Alive by New Albany ft. Twenty One Pilots. Yes, Twenty One Pilots. I have so many thoughts and emotions for this song, but that’s for another time. 😉

Question Eight: If you’re a writer, how do you see yourself incorporated (most of the time unknowingly) inside your stories?

I ‘incorporate’ myself in my stories a lot, knowingly… I think every writer sees some piece of them in their characters… It isn’t always an accident for me to incorporate myself in my stories…

Question Nine: How have you seen aspects of God’s character through other people recently?

Hmm… My parents. How they’ve handled and done stuff lately- following God’s Word even though it’s hard sometimes.

Question Ten: How long, on average, does it take you to put together a blog post? Are you the morning person working at 5 am, the afternoon blogger, or the night owl up until midnight trying to throw things together?

It really depends. xD Sometimes, just and afternoon (I don’t have time for blogging in the morning, and nothing comes out well usually at midnight… so I do it in the day haha.)… Sometimes weeks, if I’m mulling it over (and waiting to edit it, etc… anyway). 🙂 But it really depends on what kind of post. 😉

Thanks again, girls. 🙂 Hope you all enjoy!

And if the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.” – Matthew 10:13

“In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.  Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.  Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress. Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.  For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.- Psalms 71:1-5

YHVH bless!
