Son Of Hope And Love

This Christmas tree we have gathered around, covered in the lights of love and family ornaments, it is not a object we worship. It is not Jesus.

It is a beacon of hope. Of love. We worship it as our Father in no means, rather, we see it as a sign of remembrance.

Jesus Christ died for us.

I am near tears thinking about it right now.

Its something I see so much, people think and say so much; it almost loses meanings. Like the words kind of die on your lips and heart. Almost like we’ve come immune to the fact Jesus died for us, even though we didn’t deserve such a gift, even though we sin, and disobey, and harm others, and speak foolishly, and we did nothing for Him to do that.

He still let them ridicule, and mock, and beat, and kill Him. He gave His own life. For me. For you. For every single soul. For the people who love Him. Don’t know about Him. Or hate Him.

He is Love.

He did not have to. He chose to die.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

-John 3:16

With HIM. In Heaven, so we can go to be with Him…

It makes me cry thinking about such a love.

Jesus Christ died so I may choose Him. And have everlasting life, with Him. And I sin, and disobey Him, and lose sight of Him, and am blind, and foolish- He saved me.

And when the people mocked Him, and spat on Him, and beat Him, and hung Him on the cross- He did not condemn them.

Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.

-Luke 23:34

And when the thief that hung beside Jesus on the cross said he believed He was the Son of God:

And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.
And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

-Luke 23:39-43

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
And ye are witnesses of these things.
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

-Luke 24:44-49

Everything in the Living Word of God will come to pass. It will all be fulfilled; so much has already.

Jesus shed tears, and as I shed my own tears, I am not sad. I can’t even really explain it… I just am. To know that the TRUTH of it is that Jesus loves me, and He saved me- He did not leave me to die, but He came and walked on this Earth, and He is the Highest of Kings… I feel love bursting inside me, and I see the Light of His Love seeping through my heart.

A baby boy came to this earth; by a virgin, and he was born in a stable. And he grew up a carpenter, and he lived on earth, and he died for us to have the chance of eternal life, and he rose on the 3rd day. His story did not end on the cross. And though I am human, and sin, and mess up, struggle, all of the bad stuff, and laugh, love, help, care- Jesus truly came here to save me and you. Every one of us.

He came also to fulfill the Word of God. And He came to ready us, His children.
