12 Days of Christmas | Favorite Christmas Books

I don’t read a lot of Christmas books. Not on purpose, I just rather spend time with my family or watch funny Christmas movies with my family. If I’m honest, the past two years we really haven’t watched many movies, either. I haven’t felt the Christmas spirit a whole lot this season.

Still, I have enjoyed some Christmas books, and most of them are short because short Christmas books are convenient, right?

Let’s get started!

TOTAL POWER by Kyle Mills is a thriller–with a post-apoc twist! The US power grid shuts down on Christmas, and Rapp and the crew have to set wrongs straight. There’s murder, intrigue, humor, and cool aesthetics. 5/5 stars. Review to come because I am gonna reread it before final review.

BEHOLD by Faith Potts. Faith hosts the 12DoC each year! BEHOLD is a precious collection of Christmas stories. Heartwarming and thought-provoking, I adore this little book!

EMMANUEL is an Infidel Books short story prequel (and it does not come in paperback, I printed this one on Lulu, which is why it looks rough) packed with grit + hope. If you love the true meaning of Christmas and want books that pass the fluff and hit the heart… this one is perfect for you. It comes as a freebie in my newsletter, if you want to sign up for that, and it is on Amazon.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL by Charles Dickens is surprisingly one of my favorite little stories! I don’t read Dickens, ever, but tried this one and wow! Fun to read, humorous, with a great meaning behind it.

THE GRIM ALLIANCE is book two in The Infidel Books, and ends with some DANG HEARTFELT CHRISTMAS SCENES Y’ALL. I really enjoyed this one. This can be read as a standalone, if you want Christmas joy now and haven’t read the first book. (THE DIVIDED NATION and THE GRIM ALLIANCE are both on sale for 99c each, so now is the time to snag ’em!)

While it isn’t a long list, these are my favorite books with Christmas. They all have one theme in common… even during our darkest times, hope will prevail. Even when we’re lost or bitter or angry or helpless… the Light won’t lose.

To me, during this season in 2020, this is the message I cling to. I pray it encourages you, too. ♥

God bless,

Angela
